Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We have answers!
What are the membership requirements?
Members will meet the following requirements:
Attend 6 out of 8 General Member Meetings. If joining mid-year, the Adult Advisory Committee will work with you to determine how many meetings must be attended.
Attend Outreach Events (minimum of 3), either an Outreach Run or Soup Making.
Arrive on time to meetings.
Record your participation in events, meetings and outreach Runs through Google Classroom.
Have a commitment to our mission to end homelessness through volunteer-driven action and outreach.
What is a Bridges "Run"?
Outreach Runs are a signature component of Bridges service offerings and work to establish relationships with clients. We meet at the Oakes Center in Summit at 10:00am and caravan/carpool to the site together. From there, you will help unload the Bridges Van and set up tables with bagged lunches, fresh fruit, water, toiletries and seasonal clothing items. You will work alongside your fellow TTH members, Adult Advisors and Bridges Staff to distribute these items to Bridges clients. After distribution, the group pack-up the van and comes back to the Oakes Center, generally before 12pm.
TTH Runs happen on the first Saturday or Sunday, depending on the month. Check the calendar for a complete run schedule for the 2023-2024 school year.
How do I sign up for a Meeting, an Outreach Run or Soup Making?
Walk-ins are welcome at our Monthly Meetings. You do not need to be a member. However, only TTH Members will have access to our Google Classroom, where you can sign up and receive credit for all events, including Soup Making and Outreach Runs. Please submit an application or reach out to TTH@bridgesoutreach.org with any questions.
When and where do we meet?
Meetings take place at the Oakes Center, where the Bridges administrative offices are located, on the second Tuesday of the month (unless otherwise noted).
There is a large meeting space on the ground floor. Students cluster at round tables and in sofas. Join us!
Take a look at our calendar for a complete list of events and meetings.
Will I receive credit for community service hours?
Absolutely! Any member of our Adult Advisory Committee can assist you with community service forms or letters of recommendation, where appropriate. Just let us know!

At the moment, no. However! We are currently working on a program specifically geared toward 8th Graders. Contact us at TTH@bridgesoutreach.org for more information.
I was a member of TTH last year, do I need to re-apply?
There are three steps for application, whether or not you were in TTH last year.
You will need to apply to TTH for the 2023-2024 school year.
You will need to register as a Bridges volunteer (you likely did this last year so no need to repeat).
We recommend a dues payment of $25.
