Teens Tackle Homelessness

Teens Tackle Homelessness (TTH) is a volunteer organization of high schoolers across New Jersey committed to Bridges Outreach's mission to end homelessness through volunteer-driven outreach and individual case management.

Monthly Meetings

The Oakes Center 120 Morris Avenue, Summit NJ

We meet monthly, generally on the second Tuesday of the month, from 6:00-7:30pm at the Oakes Center in Summit. Meetings are comprised of service engagements (such as assembling hygiene kits and/or bagged lunches to be delivered on our Outreach runs), special student activities and drives, educational modules, trainings and more!

Bridges ends homelessness through volunteer-driven outreach and individual case management focusing on health, housing, and independence. We form relationships with those experiencing homelessness while meeting their most urgent needs.

OUTREACH RUNS

Newark & Irvington

Each month, a Saturday or a Sunday run is reserved exclusively for TTH Members to fully experience our mission by interacting directly with Bridges’s clients. On a Run, volunteers engage in conversation, serve hot soup, give out brown bag lunches, and distribute hygiene kits and seasonal clothing.

Events, Training & More!

Throughout the year, TTH members participate in and lead various events. From our Annual Conference and Bridges 5k, to fundraisers and drives, there are many ways to get involved. We encourage students to create their own events and will provide the training and framework to get you started.
